Play is the language of children and as such is an effective, proven way for children to process experiences and emotions. A Play Therapist can facilitate free expression and emotional flow in a safe and secure environment.  Children can explore their feelings and make sense of life experiences without being re-traumatised.  Play Therapists aim to meet the child where they are and accompany them on their journey to better self regulation and improved self esteem.

I work in a holistic, integrated, child-centred way, with awareness of developmental trauma and experience of working with children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.  Children I work with may have low self-esteem, have difficulty self-regulating, have various conduct issues and emotional difficulties.  Some of the children I work with may not be able to focus and learning may be difficult for them.   I offer a minimum of 12 sessions, or more long term therapy as required.  I am a Certified Play Therapist (PTUK) and regulated by the Professional Standards Authority. I am based in Stroud and I work in Gloucestershire and surrounding areas.
